So i stand here today, relieved. That's probably not the typical response when somebody's creative material (for me, that would of course be literature) is lost into oblivion. A couple days ago, the laptop i frequently use for writing, was dropped and the hard drive was jarred from its position. Aside from having Geek Squad pull a memory recovery, any attempt to fix it would be futile. And i just don't have the money for that right now.
Fortunately, everything i've ever written that is of any value whatsoever, has a backup copy somewhere. That would not include the latest story i was working on. That story (i can't even remember my tentative title for it!) is gone. And that is the greatest of blessings, because it was absolutely terrible. I was going to spend hours editing and re-writing and editing, only to determine that i need to scrap it and start over with the initial concept. But fate has done that for me.
How fortunate am i!?
That being said, that does delay the release of any material i may have. But i will get you something to read soon, be it old or new.
